Warranty

Three years on the kitchen tap, two on the machines

We warrant what we build. Survey, installation and on-site service belong to the authorised partner who fits the kitchen tap, and that split is deliberate — it is how a homeowner gets somebody who can be in the kitchen this week rather than a factory an ocean away.

Cover

What is covered, and for how long

Cover is against defects in materials and manufacture, on a system installed and used as specified in a domestic or light commercial kitchen.

Part of the system Warranty term
Kitchen tap body, ceramic cartridge and surface finish 3 years
Under-counter boiling machine 2 years
Under-counter chilled machine 2 years

The term runs from installation. The precise commencement and transfer wording is set out in the warranty terms issued with the trade pack, and it is those terms that govern — this page is the plain-English version of them.

Responsibility

Who carries what

NLB, the manufacturer

The product

  • Defects in materials and manufacture within the terms above
  • Replacement parts supplied to the authorised partner
  • Engineering diagnosis of a fault reported through the partner
  • The drawing set, specifications and approval position

Your authorised partner

The kitchen

  • Survey of the cabinet, water pressure and power before ordering
  • Installation, commissioning and handover
  • All on-site labour, including any visit made under warranty
  • Filter changes and routine servicing

We say this openly: we do not run our own installation or call-out network overseas. A manufacturer that pretends otherwise leaves a homeowner waiting. Our warranty stands behind the product; the partner who fitted your kitchen tap is the person who comes back to it, and they are chosen and trained by us for exactly that reason.

Registration

Registering a kitchen installation

Register at commissioning, while the installer is still in the kitchen and the details are in front of them. It takes one email and it is what lets us identify the exact build of your tap and machines years later.

Send the details to [email protected]. We reply by email, Monday to Friday, and we confirm the registration by return. Trade partners registering in volume are set up with a batch route instead — ask us for it.

  1. 01

    Tap model and finish

For example 14001 in brushed nickel. The model is on the packaging and the installation drawing.

  2. 02

    Machine models installed

Boiling only, or boiling and chilled. Include the filter stage supplied with them.

  3. 03

    Date of installation

The commissioning date, not the delivery date.

  4. 04

    Installing partner and postcode

Who fitted it and where. This is how a future call-out reaches the right person quickly.

Exclusions

What the warranty does not cover

Printed here rather than buried in a document you receive after you have paid.

  • Filter cartridges

A consumable, like a kettle’s limescale or a car’s oil. Service life is three to six months or 2000 litres, whichever comes first, and replacement is a running cost rather than a warranty event.

  • Scale damage where the filter has not been serviced

The anti-scale stage is what protects the boiling tank in a hard-water kitchen. If it is left past its service life, the damage that follows is not a manufacturing fault.

  • Installation outside the stated water conditions

The system is specified for a mains inlet of 1.5 to 5 bar. Outside that band the product is being asked to do something it was not built for.

  • Work by someone other than the authorised partner

Modification, or installation and repair carried out outside the authorised partner network, ends the cover on the parts affected.

  • Cosmetic wear and cleaning damage

Brushed, matt and coloured finishes are damaged by abrasive creams and bleach-based cleaners. Warm water and a soft cloth keep a kitchen tap looking new; the alternative is not a defect.

Spare parts and replacement route — issued with the trade pack

The spare-parts policy, the replacement and return route and the stock we hold for each market are being finalised with our first partners, and we are not going to publish a turnaround we have not yet proved in the United Kingdom. They are set out in full in the trade pack, which is issued with commercial terms. If you are evaluating us as a distributor, ask for it early — it is the part of the agreement worth arguing about.

A question about cover

Registering an installation, reporting a fault through your partner, or reviewing the terms before you sign as a distributor. Commercial terms are confirmed in writing per model and per order.

Or write to [email protected]. We reply by email, Monday to Friday. No retail pricing is published on this site.
