Privacy notice
What we collect when you enquire about a kitchen tap, what we do with it, who else sees it, and how to make us delete it. Written in plain English rather than in the language of a contract, because a notice nobody reads protects nobody.
Version 1 · last updated 17 September 2026
This is a first version, written in-house. It was drafted by the people who actually run this site and it describes what we genuinely do today — it is not a template copied from another company, and it is not a solicitor's work. It will be reviewed by a qualified adviser before formal launch and re-published here with a new date. If something in it is unclear or looks wrong to you, please tell us at [email protected].
Section 1
What this notice covers
This notice explains what happens to the information you give us through this website: the trade enquiry forms, the homeowner form that asks for a postcode and an email, and any message you send to our published email address.
It applies to www.bathroomlb.com and to the enquiries that reach us from it. It does not cover what a separate company does with your details after we have introduced you to them — see section 5 — or what happens on any website we link to.
Because we sell into the United Kingdom and Ireland, we have written this to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Section 2
Who we are, and how to reach us
This site is operated by NLB, the trading identity of Taizhou New Lanbiao Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd, a manufacturer of kitchen taps and under-counter water systems. For the information described here, we are the data controller.
There is one route to us and it is email: [email protected]. We do not publish a telephone number, because we cannot staff a line that would answer it properly. Use that address for any question about your data, including a request to delete it.
Section 3
What we collect
Only what the form asks for. There is no account to create, no profile built in the background, and no data bought in from anyone else.
From a trade or OEM enquiry: company name, country or region, and the message you write. Your email address comes with the enquiry so we can reply.
From the homeowner form: a postcode or area, and an email address. We do not ask for your name, your full address or a phone number, and you should not put them in the form.
From an email you send us: whatever you choose to put in it, plus the address it came from.
If you arrived from one of our Google search adverts: the link you clicked
carries a Google click identifier (the gclid parameter in the page address). If you
then send an enquiry, we store that identifier with it, and use it only to see which advert
brought the enquiry in. We do not load any Google tracking script to do this and we set no
cookie for it.
Our hosting provider also processes the technical information every web server sees — IP address, browser type, the page requested — for security and to serve the page. We do not join that to enquiry data and we do not use it to identify individuals.
Section 4
Why we collect it, and our legal basis
We use enquiry information for two things and nothing else: to answer you, and to introduce a homeowner to a local kitchen installation partner when that is what has been asked for.
Under the UK GDPR we rely on two of the available grounds:
- Legitimate interests for replying to a business enquiry. If a company writes to a manufacturer asking about kitchen taps, reading the message and answering it is the obvious and expected use of that information, and it does not override anyone's rights.
- Consent for passing a homeowner's postcode and email to an installation partner. You give that consent by submitting the homeowner form, which sits directly beneath a plain statement that we will pass the details on. You can withdraw it by emailing us, although once details have gone to a partner we cannot recall them — you would need to ask that partner directly.
We do not use your details for marketing lists, we do not send newsletters, and we do not sell or rent data to anybody.
Section 5
We pass homeowner details to a third-party installation partner
This is the most important thing on this page, so it is not buried in a list.
We do not sell or install direct to households. When you use the homeowner form, the postcode or area and the email address you enter are sent to an authorised NLB installation partner covering that territory, so that they can contact you about your kitchen. That is the entire purpose of the form.
That partner is a separate, independent company. Once your details reach them they are responsible for handling them, under their own privacy notice, and we no longer control what they do with them. If you want to know who they are before your details go anywhere, email us and ask rather than using the form.
If we have not appointed a partner in your area yet, we hold your details until we do and we tell you that is what is happening. If you would rather we deleted them instead, say so and we will.
Trade enquiries are treated differently: a company writing to us about distribution, OEM work or specification is not passed to anybody. Those enquiries stay with us.
Section 6
Other companies involved
We keep the list short deliberately.
- Cloudflare serves this website and provides its security and content delivery. Requests to these pages pass through their network.
- Our email provider carries and stores the enquiries that reach our inbox, in the same way any business email service does.
- An authorised installation partner, for homeowner enquiries only, as described in section 5.
There is no analytics provider, no advertising network, no customer-data platform and no chat widget on this site.
Section 7
Where your information goes
We should be straightforward about this. NLB manufactures in its own factory outside the United Kingdom, and your enquiry is read by our own staff there. So an enquiry sent from the UK, Ireland or Australia is transferred outside the UK in the ordinary course of us answering it.
The website itself is served from Cloudflare's global network, which means the page you are reading is delivered from wherever is nearest to you.
If you would prefer your details not to leave the UK, we cannot help with that, and the honest answer is to contact a UK-based supplier instead.
Section 8
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept as email records. Our policy is:
- Homeowner enquiries: 24 months from your last contact with us, then deleted. Sooner if you ask.
- Trade and OEM enquiries: for as long as there is an active or realistically foreseeable commercial relationship, reviewed at least once a year. Records that relate to an actual order are kept longer, because accounting and product-liability obligations require it.
We do not keep things indefinitely on the theory that they might be useful one day.
Section 9
Your rights, and how to use them
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it;
- stop using it, or restrict how we use it;
- send it to you, or to someone else, in a portable form;
- stop relying on legitimate interests, by objecting.
Email [email protected] and say which one you want. You do not need to give a reason or use any particular wording. We aim to answer within one month, and there is no charge. We may ask you to confirm the email address the enquiry came from, so that we do not hand your details to somebody pretending to be you.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled it, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you gave us the chance to put it right first.
Section 11
Security, and who this site is for
The site is served over HTTPS. Enquiries live in a business email account with access limited to the people who answer them. No system is perfect, and we will not claim otherwise.
This website is aimed at trade buyers and at adults planning a kitchen. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Section 12
Changes to this notice
If what we do changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. There is no archive of previous versions yet; when there is, it will be linked from here.
