Certification for our kitchen taps and machines
Approvals on a boiling and chilled water system attach to a model and to the company named on the certificate, not to a brand. This page explains what each mark covers and where we are in confirming it. If you are specifying an NLB kitchen tap into a project where approval is a condition, ask us and we send you the current position in writing.
The marks that matter in our markets
Three marks, each with its own scope
WRAS
United Kingdom
Water fittings approval for products connected to the mains water supply.
WRAS approval shows a fitting meets the UK Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations. It is issued per product and to a named company, and the approved products are listed in a public directory a specifier can search.
CE / CB
European Union and CB scheme members
Electrical safety, relevant to the under-counter machines.
The boiling and chilled machines are the electrical products in the system. CE is the manufacturer’s declaration for the EU market; a CB test report is the safety test report of the IECEE CB scheme, recognised across its member countries.
WaterMark
Australia
Plumbing product certification for Australia.
WaterMark is issued per product to a named certificate holder. The Australian specification of the kitchen tap uses a different brass, so it is a different product to build and is quoted separately. Tell us at enquiry stage if Australia is the destination.
Current status
Being confirmed in writing, model by model
For every tap and machine model we are confirming in writing which marks apply and which company each certificate is registered to. Until that is on paper, we do not publish a model list in either direction.
Why there is no model table here yet
A UK buyer will look a model up in the public WRAS directory, and the listing has to match both the model and the company named on it. We would rather show you nothing than a table that fails that check, so each model is published only once its confirmation is in writing.
There is no sitewide approval badge on this site
You will not find a row of marks in our footer implying that everything we build carries every mark. Approvals attach to a model and a specification, and a badge that fails a directory lookup is worth less than no badge at all. Every page on this site that mentions an approval points back here.
Certificate files and reference numbers — not published yet
No certificate numbers are printed on this page, because we are not going to publish a number we cannot put a document behind. When a model is confirmed, its files go into the trade pack and the model is listed here. If you need the current position for a live kitchen project before then, use the form below and we answer by email.

United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia each have a different mark that matters. Tell us which and we answer against that one only.

The model, or the function you need
If you have not fixed a model yet, describe the kitchen and we will tell you which options fit the cabinet and what their current status is.
- 03
Whether approval is a condition of the contract
It decides which models we will let you specify. We would rather narrow the range early, in writing, than have a job stop at inspection.
Request the current certification status
Tell us the model and the market and we email you where confirmation stands for that model today. Commercial terms are confirmed in writing per model and per order.
